Our Notre Dame Legacy
Our Lady’s University is at the center of our family life! We are 1986 graduates of Notre Dame and St. Mary’s, and a third generation Notre Dame family. We were married a month after graduation at Sacred Heart and have baptized children and grandchildren in the Basilica too! For fourteen consecutive years we had a student at Notre Dame. We have been blessed to have four of our children receive undergraduate degrees and three of them are "double domers" earning advanced degrees: JD, ACE and Theology. Three of our children sang in the Folk Choir and our youngest was a member of the football team from 2016-2020. Our oldest son played football at the University of Kansas and was a member of the 2008 Orange Bowl Champions.
We offer a very unique, luxury experience with expansive indoor and outdoor entertaining opportunities. This 5,200 square foot home has six spacious bedrooms, five full and two half baths and comfortably sleeps 20+ in beds. The vaulted living room, formal dining room, open kitchen with great room and lower level family room and full sized kitchen, make this a gracious home perfect for entertaining.
Known as the Irish Inn, this is our family home and is available only upon referral from members of the Notre Dame family and their friends who are recommended to us for football games, reunions, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and special events of all sizes. We believe our place provides you and your family and friends an ideal venue for your special events and weekend getaways year round with every detail customized to your particular needs.
The Irish Inn is located 10 minutes from campus at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with ample private parking, both on and off the street. The home sits on a half acre wooded lot providing you the utmost privacy and ambiance for your special weekend, whether wedding, football, reunion, graduation or other special occasion. The patio and deck with gas grill and fire pit make it a perfect spot for gathering. The oversized three car garage opens to a very large, flat driveway which easily accommodates large lighted and heated tents. In addition, our two kitchens allow for ease in catering any size event.
We raised our children in Kansas City and moved to South Bend in 2016. We know what it is to struggle to find a place to gather family and friends for special weekends that make you and your guest truly feel at home. We can meet your needs for any Notre Dame gathering as well as accommodate wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and brunches all on your wedding weekend. Since we have lived so close to ND we have hosted large groups for every Notre Dame football game, Junior Parents Weekend, graduation, reunion and wedding weekend events. We were fortunate to be able to host many Notre Dame football team gatherings for players, parents, family and friends and found great joy in sharing our home with the Notre Dame community.
